Shipping Sorter Is Live on the Shopify App Store

Shipping Sorter is approved and listed on the Shopify App Store as of May 11. It does three things to the shipping options a customer sees at checkout: puts them in the order you want, hides the ones you'd rather not surface, and renames them into labels people understand. "USPS Ground" becomes "Standard (3-5 days)".

How it works

It runs as a Delivery Customization Function inside Shopify's native checkout. No theme edits, no cart.js workarounds, and nothing that breaks when you update your theme. Set the order, the hidden rates and the labels in the dashboard, and the change applies at checkout immediately.

One honest caveat on renaming: for carrier-calculated rates, Shopify prepends the carrier's name to the title and won't let an app remove it, so a UPS rate stays visibly UPS. Flat and manual rates you define are fully yours to label.

The cheapest-rate rule

One thing it will not do, because Shopify's App Store requirements don't allow it: reorder rates in a way that raises the default shipping price. The cheapest visible rate is always pinned first, and your ordering applies to everything below it. A related guardrail — if your hide list would leave a delivery group with no rate at all, the hide list is skipped for that group rather than leaving the customer with nothing to choose.

Pricing

The free tier covers reorder, hide and rename, with no time limit. Pro is $9/month with a 7-day trial and adds conditional rules: match on cart total, item count, ship-to country, ship-to state or province, a specific product or variant in the cart, or a collection, and have each rule reorder, hide or rename independently. The first matching rule wins.
