Verified against Shopify's market-driven shipping

  • Shopify is moving shipping configuration out of delivery profiles and onto Markets, in stages between October 2026 and July 2027. Shipping Sorter has now been run end to end on a store that has already made that move.
  • Your rate names, your ordering, and every rate you have hidden or renamed come through the migration unchanged — compared option by option on one store either side of the switch, then confirmed at a real checkout.
  • The app now asks for one additional permission, Shopify Markets settings. It is read-only, and reading the list of rate names the app shows you is the only thing it will ever be used for. Shopify will ask you to approve it the next time you open the app.

Current platform version, shorter-lived access

  • The checkout function now runs on Shopify's current platform version, ahead of the one it was on being retired.
  • The app's access to your store uses short-lived tokens that rotate on their own, so a token that ever leaked would stop working by itself.
  • Neither changes how your rates are ordered, hidden or renamed.

A dashboard that looks like the rest of Milly

  • The dashboard was rebuilt on the Milly design system — the same controls, a clearer layout, and the app's own colour throughout.
  • Opening the dashboard now re-authenticates you against Shopify when your session has gone stale, instead of letting you work and failing at the first save.
  • The setup guide now covers rates that come from a third-party shipping-rate app. Shopify's admin does not expose those, so Fetch from Shopify cannot list them — add them by the exact name shown at checkout and every feature works on them the same way.

Checkout always keeps a shipping option

  • A configuration that would hide every available rate no longer does. At least one delivery option always survives, so a checkout can never be left with nothing for the customer to select.
  • A partial or hand-edited configuration is tolerated rather than thrown away: the app falls back to leaving rates untouched instead of silently dropping your good rules along with the bad one.

Collection rules, and pickers that find things for you

  • Rules that match a collection now match. Before this, a collection rule never fired at all.
  • The app works out which products a collection holds when you save the rule, and keeps that in step as you add and remove products — so a rule written once stays right.
  • Products, variants and collections are chosen from a typeahead picker instead of pasted in as an ID.
  • The dashboard now states the cheapest-rate rule where you will actually read it: Shopify requires the cheapest visible rate to be preselected, so your ordering applies to every position below it.

Shipping Sorter is on the Shopify App Store

  • Reorder, hide and rename the shipping rates your customers see at checkout, from a dashboard rather than a theme edit.
  • Conditional rules on the Pro tier: reorder, hide or rename by item count, cart total, ship-to state, product or collection.
  • Runs as a Delivery Customization Function inside Shopify's native checkout — no theme changes, and nothing to break on a theme update.
  • Shopify requires the cheapest visible rate to be the preselected one. Shipping Sorter pins it first and applies your ordering to everything below it; hiding the cheapest promotes the next-cheapest rather than working around the rule.
