Narrow scope, deep integration. We don't try to be a platform — we solve one problem well, on Shopify.

Collection-driven

You pick the Shopify collection that contains every product with a battery. No SKU mapping, no tags — your existing catalog structure drives it.

Itemized at checkout

Fee renders as its own line item in the order summary, with a configurable disclaimer message. Goes through normal refund flow when an order is returned.

Ships-to-CA only

Cart Transform Function calculates the fee. UI extension at checkout reads the shipping address and only writes the trigger when the customer is shipping to California.

Editable disclaimer

The customer-facing message is fully editable. Defaults cite CA H&S Code § 25214.10.2; merchants can adjust wording or replace it entirely.
